Hyatt Regency Vancouver is seeking a dedicated and customer service oriented individual to join the PBX team as a part-time Operator.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Answering incoming internal and external calls according to Hyatt standards and transferring them to the appropriate extensions.
• Handling basic guest questions and complaints with a focus on guest satisfaction and problem resolution
• Preparing, sorting, and handling internal written and verbal communication for both guests and fellow associates
• Recording and delivering wake up calls with 100% accuracy
• Receiving, tracking and following up on all guest requests and dispatching requests to the appropriate departments
• Handling emergency situations and dispatching emergency personnel

Candidate must be available to work flexible shifts including Graveyard, Weekends and Holidays. Starting wage for this position is $20.31 per hour, after 6 months wage is $23.70 per hour, after 1 year wage is $27.08 per hour.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous customer service or switchboard experience is preferred
• Ability to work well independently and within a team
• Ability to work in a busy, fast paced environment and handle multiple priorities
• Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft office applications
• Fluency in English and good verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of a second language is an asset
• Must be able to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Evening and Graveyard)
